EtherPad

The etherpad.com web site is a free service. You can create your own pad and share with up to 16 people, with some minimal security through a randomized URL.

There's no account required (or even available). This makes it easy to use the product, but also means you can't keep track of a list of your pads online. There's also no access control to your pads, and the only way to keep them private is to safeguard the URL.

For more features and better security, you can pay for either the Private Network Edition (which you can download and run on your own servers) or the Professional Edition (which we will host for you).
