          HSB announces Arduino Workshops (Brussels, March)
=======================================================================

HackerSpaceBrussels (HSB) is organising a series of workshops around the Arduino, an open source hardware platform.

What is Arduino?
================

The Arduino is a small board with an 8-bit microcontroller which can be easily programmed. It can operate connected to your computer or in stand-alone mode.

What can I do with it?
======================

Some examples of applications:
* Switch on and off the lights in your hackroom with cron job
* Switch on and off your computer from a website
* Make a LED blink when you have new mail
* make a glowing and pulsating red heart for your girlfriend
* Mind-altering christmas lights

For Beginners
=============

* If you don't know anything about electronics: we'll get you started. We'll explain how the components work and what you can do with it. We'll show you how to connect them without soldering.
* If your not a programmer, that's fine. The code to run these things is pretty basic, and a little brain combined with the awesome power of copy/paste will find it's way in this.
* If you're an accountant, no prob. If you're eager to learn you will be able to manage this.

For Advanced users
==================
* Those of you who like to take it to another (volume-)level are invited to the two-day workshop on the weekend of 21/22 april.
* Wesen, the developer of the miduino will be with us to show his stuff.
* Think: beats and bleeps modified by an remixed arduino.
